Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

This website (hyperniche.directorybuildr.com) is run by Andrew Murray, trading as Digital ABC ("we", "us"). It offers a free directory-building guide and related paid products. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

  • Your sign-up details: when you request the free guide, we collect your first name and email address.
  • Analytics and advertising data (subject to your cookie choice, see section 4): pages viewed, how you arrived (including which ad you clicked), device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Live chat (subject to your cookie choice, see section 4): any messages you send and any details you choose to share in the chat.
  • Purchases: order buttons take you to our checkout on digitalabc.net, where your name, email address and payment details are collected. Card details are handled by the payment processor and never seen or stored by us.
  • Technical data: the servers that deliver this site, its images and its videos receive your IP address and browser details in order to send them to you.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To send you the free guide and the emails you signed up for
  • To tell you about our directory-building products, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
  • To process orders and give you access to what you bought
  • To measure which pages and ads work so we can improve them
  • To answer your questions and provide support
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for email marketing, analytics, advertising pixels and live chat; on the performance of a contract for orders; and on our legitimate interests for running and securing the website.

4. Cookies and Your Choices

If you visit from the UK, the European Union or elsewhere in Europe, a banner asks whether you accept cookies first. The analytics, advertising, chat and promotional scripts listed below only load if you click Accept, and none of them load if you decline. Visitors from other regions are not shown the banner, and these scripts load automatically.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage. Wherever you are, you can accept or decline at any time with the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of any page.

5. Services We Use

Loaded only with your consent where it is required:

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram ads): measures ad performance and builds ad audiences.
  • Reddit Pixel: measures Reddit ad performance.
  • Quora Pixel: measures Quora ad performance.
  • Funnelytics: tracks how visitors move through our pages.
  • Visitor Tracking (visitortracking.com): visitor analytics.
  • AlertBarPro: shows announcement bars on the page.
  • Helploom: live chat on the research report page.

Always used to run the site:

  • Supabase: securely stores the name and email address you submit.
  • Systeme.io: our email platform, which sends the guide and our emails.
  • YouTube: videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set tracking cookies until you play a video.
  • Vercel: hosts this website.
  • digitalabc.net: our checkout and course platform, which has its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information. These providers only process it to deliver their service to us, and some of them may process it outside your country.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep your name and email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Analytics and chat data are kept only as long as they are useful.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Object to or restrict how we use it
  • Receive a copy of it in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, including by unsubscribing from our emails
  • Complain to your local data protection authority

To use any of these rights, contact us through our support page below.

8. Data Security

This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we use reputable providers for hosting, email, checkout and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Children's Privacy

Our products are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
